Learn the basics of the beautiful body art created with henna tattoos. This workshop is hosted by henna artist, Lisa Ash. Lisa will introduce you to the culturally rich world of henna art.
Find out a little about the history of henna, how it all began and where. Then be introduced to the modern art of henna tattooing. Lisa will run through how to use henna safely; how to hold and apply henna properly; different henna brands – what to buy and what not to buy; how to trace designs; and how to create your own beautiful designs. Lisa will even discuss ways you can make money through henna art.
You will have the opportunity to practice applying henna yourself – and will receive a henna design by Lisa on the day! This is a very …ahem… ‘hands on’ workshop that will leave you feeling confident moving forward with henna art.
What to bring:
Just yourself and comfortable clothing. All materials are included in this workshop – including a henna artist kit valued at $25 to use on the day and take home for practice.
Refreshments provided (Lisa also happens to be a cupcake baker).
Extra henna will be available to purchase at the end of the workshop if you wish.
Important safety note:
A spot test will be done at the beginning of the class to check for skin irritation – however, if you have a history of skin allergies or highly sensitive skin, this may not be the best workshop for you.
Please note that bookings are fully refundable and transferable up to seven days before the event. Strictly no refunds or transfers can be given within seven days of an event occuring.
Bookings are closed for this event.
